Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Hydratogether ("Hydratogether," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the Hydratogether mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Hydratogether is designed to minimize data collection. The App can be used without creating an account, and we do not sell personal information, display advertising, or use third-party tracking or analytics technologies.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
When you use the App without an account, the information you enter, including drink entries, daily targets, unit preferences, waking hours, reminder settings, an optional first name and an optional profile photo, is stored locally on your device. If you later create an account, your profile photo is shared with your friends as described in Section 4. This information is not transmitted to us.
3. Information Collected Through Optional Features
The following features are disabled until you choose to enable them. Each may be turned off at any time in the App's Profile settings or in your device settings.

4. Information Collected When You Create an Account
Creating an account is optional and enables synchronization across devices and social features. If you create an account, we collect and store:
- Contact information: your email address or mobile phone number, used solely to send one-time sign-in codes;
- Hydration records: drink entries (amount, drink type, date and time) and daily targets;
- Profile and social information: your username, friend connections, squads you join, reactions you leave on friends' posts, the name of the bottle you select, your time zone, and, unless you turn sharing off, the percentage of today's goal you have reached, which is visible to your friends and squad members (never your individual drinks);
- User content: photographs and captions you choose to post, and your optional profile photo, all of which are visible only to friends you have accepted; and
- Reports: if you report a post, the post, your account and the reason you chose, which we use only to review the report and enforce our Terms of Use.
If you subscribe to Hydratogether Plus, we also receive your subscription status (for example, whether it is active and when it renews) from Apple or Google through RevenueCat. We never receive your payment details.
5. How We Use Information
We use information solely to provide, maintain and improve the App's features, including calculating daily targets, delivering reminders, synchronizing data across your devices, enabling features you choose to use with friends, and responding to support requests. We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or marketing.
6. Apple HealthKit and Health Connect Data
The App reads data from Apple Health (on iPhone) or Health Connect (on Android) only with your express permission and only for the purposes described in Section 3. On Android, the App requests read access to hydration and exercise records only. The App does not write data to Apple Health or Health Connect. Information obtained through Apple HealthKit or Health Connect is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, never used to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes, and never disclosed to third parties, except as required to store your own synchronized records with our hosting provider. Our use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Service Providers
We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the App:
- Supabase: hosts account data and synchronized records;
- Resend: delivers sign-in and account emails to your email address;
- Open-Meteo: provides weather forecasts for the Hot Day Adjustment feature;
- Apple and Google: distribute the App and process all purchases and subscriptions. We never receive your payment details; and
- RevenueCat: confirms Hydratogether Plus subscriptions on our behalf. It receives your purchase history and an account identifier so your subscription follows you to a new device.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users or others.
8. Data Retention
Information stored on your device remains there until you delete it or remove the App. Account information is retained for as long as your account remains active and is deleted when you delete your account.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You may access, correct or delete your information at any time:
- Delete local data: Profile → Account → Delete All Local Data.
- Delete your account: Profile → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, hydration records, photographs and friend connections from our servers. You can also request deletion without the App.
- Withdraw permissions: location, Apple Health, Health Connect and notification access may be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law, such as the right to request a copy of your information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. Deleting the App does not cancel an active subscription; subscriptions are managed in your device's Settings.
10. Data Security
Information transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit. Account records are protected by access controls that permit each user to read only their own records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
